Beijing, China, April 10, 2016 -- ATA Inc. ("ATA" or the "Company",
Nasdaq: ATAI), a leading provider of advanced testing technologies and
testing-related services in China, today announced that the Company has
entered into an agreement to make a strategic investment in Empower
Education Online, LLC (“EEO”), a Beijing-based online education company
that operates its self-developed leading web-based virtual classroom
platform in China.
With this strategic investment of
RMB32.5 million, ATA continues to expand its reach into the K-12 and
other online education markets. ATA expects to increase its business
efforts in online learning assessment, and believes that by working
closely with EEO management on further developing its online classroom
platform and business relationships, the Company will benefit from
access to information on and increased exposure to educational
institutions and individual learners that will come to recognize ATA as
the leading authority in testing and related services.
