Amsterdam-based Nxus, an edtech startup that offers solutions for knowledge institutions in the field of (alumni) community and internship (job) matching, raised €150K in funding from Rabobank Innovation Loan.Nxus was founded in 2018 by Niels Baay, an alumnus of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.Nxus is a career and community platform that facilitates recruiting graduates and students from the talent pool of affiliated educational institutions. Through the platform, students are able to keep their own profile when they graduate and become an alumnus, and they are matched skills-based with internships and graduate jobs based on the certified knowledge and skills gained during the study, where all (unconscious) biases have been removed from the recruitment process. In this way, students simultaneously build a skills passport that they take with them upon entering the labour market.
