Wukong Education bags Series B led by MVP and Bessemer to roll out English program in 2023 H2

Wukong Education, a provider of online classes for 3 to 18-year-old students, announced that it has closed a Series B funding round of several tens of millions of dollars led by Marcy Venture Partners (MVP) and Bessemer Venture Partners (Bessemer), with participation from Daniel Wu and Bobby Wagner.

Launched in 2016 in New Zealand, Wukong Education is a provider of online classes for students aged 3 to 18. The company rolled out Wukong Chinese in 2017, then unveiled Wukong Math in 2021, and set up global operations headquarter in Silicon Valley last year.  

According to Wukong Education, it has a team of 3000+ top teachers who has access to more than 300,000 overseas families located in 100+ countries and regions across the world, ranging from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France to Singapore and Australia.

The platform is going to launch Wukong English in the second half of this year, which will focus on improving the reading and writing skills of students.
