Chery Sets Up Education Tech Company With RMB 20 Million Registered Capital
Chinese automaker Chery Holding Group has set up a dedicated education technology company, the latest move by a large industrial group to build its own talent pipeline as Beijing pushes industry-education integration.
Anhui Ruiyuan Education Technology Co., Ltd. was incorporated on September 8 with registered capital of RMB 20 million (about US$2.8 million), according to corporate registry data cited by Jiemodui and confirmed by several Chinese media outlets including Jiemian, 36Kr and Eastmoney. Its legal representative is Bi Quanguo, and it is wholly owned by Chery Holding Group.
The company's registered business scope covers education consulting services as well as the manufacture and sale of teaching models and teaching aids — a scope that points to vocational training hardware and curriculum support rather than consumer tutoring.
Bi is also executive president of Chery University, the group's in-house corporate academy. In July, at the unveiling of Chery College at Anhui Jianzhu University, he said the school-enterprise college is designed to integrate university disciplines with the company's industrial resources through order-based, targeted training programmes, dual supervisors from both campus and company, and real projects drawn from vehicle R&D and styling and creative design.
Chery said it will open workshops, laboratories and specialised equipment to students, assign senior staff from R&D, process engineering and design as corporate mentors, put in place end-to-end safety mechanisms, and give graduates a priority hiring channel. The stated goal is a provincial-level model "industrial college" combining talent cultivation, research and creative incubation.
The new entity extends a long run of school partnerships. Chery has previously worked with Anhui Engineering University, Wuhu University, Qingdao Xida Senior Technical School, Changde Science and Technology Vocational and Technical College and Anhui Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College, and launched a named industry-education integration class with Huainan Vocational and Technical College in November 2024.
Scale gives the effort weight. Chery Group sold 2,806,393 vehicles in 2025, up 7.8% year on year, including 1,344,020 exported — a 23rd consecutive year as China's largest passenger-vehicle exporter by a domestic brand. It ranks 233rd on the Fortune Global 500 list and operates in more than 120 countries and regions.
