Five-Star Sports, a Shenzhen-based basketball training platform, announced its merger with sports education provider PacificPine Golf. Meanwhile, PacificPine Group also closed $8 million funding round led by PacificPine Capital.

As part of the deal, the new entity will be renamed PacificPine Sports Group, and Frank Au, partner of PacificPine Capital, will join PacificPine Sports Group as the executive president.

Founded in 2013, Five-Star Sports offers programs to help children aged 4-18 to learn how to play sports.
