IELTS has released today the “Notice on Canceling Recent Exams in Mainland China (hereinafter referred to as Notice)” on its Chinese official website.
Although this may cause a delay for students who are going to study abroad, the Notice, as one of the comprehensive measures to prevent spread of coronavirus at all public venues, states that IELTS exams on January 31 and in February will be canceled in mainland China, and full fees will be refunded to candidate’s account.
Meanwhile, IELTS mentioned that after the discussion with China’s National Education Examinations Authority, the details of the follow-up exam arrangement will be announced according to the progress of epidemic prevention and control.
