CheeseStar(创感时代) announced today it has raised more than ten million of yuan in Pre-A round of financing from Yueheng Capital in Q4 2019, previously, the start-up has closed the angel round with tens of millions led by Polaris Capital at the beginning of 2019.
The company’s product named “The Octonauts”(海底小纵队) focuses on English education for children aged from 2 to 8 with the mindset of the child-centered approach. As soon as the company was founded, CheeseStar paid nearly 10 million yuan for Wanda Group's authorization of “The Octonauts”, and built the R&D team and teaching faculty of nearly 100 people graduating from Cambridge University, Tsinghua University, and other top universities.
“The Octonauts” adopts the model of “North American teachers + Animated character teachers + tutoring teachers for pronunciation correction”. Based on immersive education and Cambridge’s children teaching system, the product also combines AI technology and gamification into the English learning process.
