MCN "Time Will Tell" Closes A Round with 10 Million Yuan in A Round for Short-video Business

Time Will Tell(时间知道),  a Beijing-based Multi-Channel Network(MCN) focusing on family education, has recently secured more than 10 million yuan in its Series A round led by Kaizhi Capital. According to Yan Peng, the founder of Time Will Tell, the company will make more efforts on new channels, short-video business, and talent recruitment. Before this round, the company has closed an angel round with 6 million yuan invested by We Capital in 2018. 

Founded in late 2017, Time Will Tell initially focused on providing knowledge related to parent-child education and female growth&development. In the past two years, the company has gradually transformed its core business. All the teachers are called “Knowledge Partner", and the company will develop products in many forms based on individual teacher's IP, including offline salons, media promotion, publication products, etc.

The company has tapped into the short-video sector since the second half of 2019. The account named  “Doctor Yu Gang"(于刚医生) which has been launched about half a year, has more than 500,000 followers on Douyin(TikTok's Chinese version) and over 300,000 followers on Kuaishou as of now.

In 2020, the start-up is aiming to provide 50 new courses and further develop the knowledge products related to life art and fitness.
