Beijing-based maker education provider LanZi Education(蓝紫教育) lately raises 1 million yuan in its angel funding round from WeiMiao Business School(微淼商学院). According to LanZi, the fund will be used for curriculum development, team optimization, and market expansion.
Founded in 2018, LanZi Education creates a maker lab for Chinese elementary and middle school students, planning to tap into the K-12 education sector with online courses and education games. It also aims to connect with teachers and parents to cultivate students' creativity and sense of financial planning.
As the exclusive investor of LanZi Education's angel round, WeiMiao Business School provides students with financial education through online resources. "We encourage outstanding students to start an undertaking. To boost their projects, we build up the Angel Investment Program that any qualified student can apply for the fund." Says Feng He, the founder of WeiMiao. After the School's internal assessment, LanZi's business meets the program's standards, thereby winning the investment with 1 million yuan.
