Leap Finance, a fintech platform helping Indian students study abroad, has raised $17 million in its Series B round led by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures, joined by Sequoia Capital India and Owl Ventures. Its total funding raised to date is $22.5 million.
Leap said it will use the funds to expand its product portfolio and build out product capabilities, expand into new geographies, hire more employees, and provide more services.
Founded in 2019, Leap provides collateral-free education loans to Indian students to study abroad in the United States, Canada, UK and Australia .
Leap claimed it helped more than 20,000 students in the past year and aims to serve 150,000 students in 2021. According its website, it has partnered with over 230 universities.
