Morressier, a Berlin-based virtual conference and publishing platform for the scientific community, announced a $18 million Series A funding round led by Owl Ventures with participation from existing investors Cherry Ventures and Redalpine.

The funding will be used to accelerate its growth and launch new community and analytics features that will increase collaboration and foster an ongoing conversation around conference content.

Launched in 2014, Morressier seeks to connect, index, and publish all conference materials via a digital library. It has partnered with societies such as ACS, IOPP, and SPIE on workflow, integrative solutions, and content hosting.

The platform makes money by working with societies and charge them for using the platform and managing peer review process.
