Finland's music education platform Yousician picks up $28M Series B led by True Ventures

Yousician, a Helsinki-based developer of an interactive music platform, has raised $28 million in a Series B round led by True Ventures, according to its press release. With the new funding, Yousician will further develop its product offering, make new hires, and invest in both brand marketing and artist partnerships.Founded in 2010, Yousician's platform offers gamified techniques to help users learn to sing and play the guitar, piano, bass and ukulele.It uses audio recognition technology to listen to the user play and provides real-time feedback. The platform also provides lesson plans created by in-house music teachers.
