ApplyBoard raises $300 million Series D at $3.2 billion valuation

apply board官网.pngApplyBoard announced that it raised $300 million in Series D funding at a post-money valuation of $3.2 billion. The round was led by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, through its Teachers’ Innovation Platform (TIP), the company said in a statement

Existing investors Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC, BDC, Harmonic, Index Ventures, Garage Capital, and Blue Cloud Ventures also participated in the round.

ApplyBoard plans to use these funds to develop new product offerings, expand to more study abroad destination countries, and grow support teams.

Founded in 2015 by brothers Martin, Meti, and Massi Basiri, who came from Iran to Canada for their international education, ApplyBoard currently helps students to apply colleges and universities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. 

The company said it has helped more than 200,000 students across more than 125 countries with their study abroad application journey.
