Gredu, the Jakarta-based edtech startup, announces a $4 million Series A funding round led by Intudo Ventures, with participation from previous investor Vertex Ventures. The proceeds will be used to expand in the Greater Jakarta Region and into major cities in Indonesia, and develop products and hire team members.
Founded in 2016, Gredu helps school administrators, teachers, parents, guardians and students increase the level of engagement in a school environment to improve the overall schooling experience. Its platform has four parts: Gredu School Management System, Gredu Teacher, Gredu Parents, and Gredu Student.
Gredu said it is now used by more than 400 schools, with a total of 400,000 users, according to TechCrunch.
