Two K-12 after-school tutoring giants in China announced last Friday that “in light of the recent regulatory developments”, they canceled earning release that are due to be disclosed this week. Both of them said they will “provide further updates at an appropriate time in the future”.
New Oriental said it canceled the earnings release for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021, as well as the corresponding earnings conference call and live webcast previously scheduled on Thursday. TAL also announced that its first quarter results of fiscal year 2022, which was previously scheduled on Thursday, will not be disclosed.
