Skills training startup Forage has raised US$25 million in a Series B funding round led by Blackbird Ventures, with participation from Telstra Ventures, Citi Ventures, Gaingels, Cap Table Coalition, ETF@JFFLabs and existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and FundersClub.

Founded in 2017, Forage provides online training courses for college students by partnering with employers. Its core product “Virtual Experience Programs” simulate real work that employees would undertake to help students build skills and confidence.

According to the company’s website, its clients include General Electric, SAP, JPMorgan, PwC and HSBC. It has more than 100 courses on the platform, with over 1.5 million enrolments across the globe.

Forage will use the latest funding to invest in virtual experience programs, and it is also looking to expand its offering into sectors such as healthcare, biotech, life sciences, retail and media.
