Beijing-based online piano tutoring platform Xiaoyezi announced $31.3 million Series C extension

Xiaoyezi Technology, a Beijing-based online piano tutoring platform, announced on Monday that it has raised more than RMB200 million (approx. $31.3 million) in a Series C extension round led by Zhencheng Capital, with participation from MFund and Sinovation Ventures.

Founded in 2013, the company has a featured product named The One Smart Piano. With the tool, users can learn piano through an iPhone or iPad that is connected to the piano. The company also provides an option for users to learn from online tutors. According to its website, its users come from more than 131 countries.

Kuaipeilian, another online music tutoring platform in China, recently said it is filing bankruptcy because of “the failure to get rid of operational difficulties”. Since its inception in 2017, the company has bagged more than RMB220 million (approx. $34.4 million), with the latest Series B round of RMB100 million ($15.6 million) announced in January.
