AI-powered MagicSchool.ai raises $2.4M led by Range Ventures to help with teacher burnout

MagicSchool.ai, a Denver-based AI-powered edtech startup to boost learning design and delivery for educators, has raised $2.4 million in a funding round led by Range Ventures, along with GSV Ventures, Rethink Education, Charter School Growth Fund, Gary Community Investments, Transcend Fund, Edovate Capital.

Founded in 2023 by Adeel Khan, MagicSchool.ai help educators assist with lesson planning, differentiation, assessment writing, individual education program (IEP) creation by leveraging artificial intelligence.

The company said over 100,000 teachers have started to utilize the platform to save their time and better serve children. Over 10,000 instructors now use MagicSchool.ai in practically every school district in the country.

Adeel Khan, Founder & CEO of MagicSchool.ai, said “The speed of our growth is representative of the longstanding need to support overburdened educators. For decades, we’ve asked teachers to do more with less, and educators have made superhuman efforts to continue helping guide and teach the next generation. More than four in ten K-12 teachers in the US (44%) say they ‘always’ or ‘very often’ feel burnt out at work—outpacing all other industries nationally. (Gallup).”
