The Healing(愈见幸福), Beijing-based mental health education start-up, announced recently that it has raised tens of millions yuan in Pre-A round from Qingsong Fund in last December. According to Wang Xiaoquan, founder and CEO of the company, the fund will be used for further R&D, the improvement of teaching faculty, product upgrade, as well as more industrial cooperation.
Established in 2017, The Healing focuses on vocational education in the field of mental health by creating professional content, diagnostic tests and training courses.
It is reported that there are about 350 million patients with depression worldwide, of which 30 million are Chinese while only 5% are treated. World Health Organization statistics also show that 250 million people in China require mental health services and 80 million are in need of psychotherapy. Amid such a market where supply and demand are highly fragmented, it is very necessary to build a professional platform for more efficient service provision.
