TuBoShu Club (土拨鼠俱乐部,literally translated into Prairie Dog Club), focusing on children from 4 to 12-year-old and providing offline centers for family and pet activities, announced recently its angel round with 9.5 million yuan, invested by Suzhou-based Shengyuan Investment. According to the company, the fund will be used for offline market expansion, online product upgrade, and optimization of supporting services.
TuBoShu Club is founded in 2019, whose parent company DaWeiKeKe(大未可可) has established 28 pet Hospitals and developed a series of pet training courses, including adversity quotient training, pet care, pet competition, and some other professional training projects.
At the current stage, China’s pet industry is ushering in explosive growth. According to the data from JD’s data, the total size of China's pet market in 2019 is expected to reach 175 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the “2018 White Paper on China's Family with Children” released by Tencent shows that the scale of kids market has exceeded 4.5 trillion yuan, which means that the sector is burgeoning and embracing more opportunities.
