noodle p.pngNew York-based company Noodle Partners, which provides online program management for universities, has secured $16M Series B in a funding round led by ValueAct Spring Fund, with participation from the Lumina Foundation and existing investors.

The funding will be used on developing the company and strengthening its university network, according to a statement this Tuesday.

Founded in 2013, Noodle Partners works with universities on every aspect of building a certificate or degree program—marketing, student recruitment, enrollment, curriculum design, student engagement, support services, graduate placement, and alumni engagement—through online programs. It aims to use technology to increase student engagement, lower costs and boost resilience.

Noodle Partners has been exploring alternatives to long-term revenue sharing arrangements, and saves schools between $15,000 and $25,000 per student compared to traditional OPM models. Further, its technology and services are also useful for universities that merely wish to improve their campus-based operations.
