Edtech Startup Degreed Raises $32 Million to Accelerate Career Mobility Roadmap

Recently, edtech startup Degreed announced that it has received $32 million in a funding round led by Owl Ventures. This investment will accelerate Degreed’s career mobility roadmap. As of now, the company's total funding has reached $182 million.

Founded in 2012, Degreed offers over 1,500 certificates and credentials, aimed primarily at companies looking to develop and upskill their employees. 

Degreed also offers courses, videos, and other resources to users. Besides, the platform promotes career mobility by connecting users to projects and job opportunities. Degreed further states that it has witnessed an unprecedented engagement from customers in the past six months.

"We’ve seen a tremendous surge in client demand for our career mobility product. It’s more important than ever for companies to understand the skills of their workforce, enrich their upskilling programs, and enable internal mobility," said Chris McCarthy, CEO of Degreed.
