Acadsoc, a China-based international one-stop online shop for English as a Second Language(ESL) learning and education consultancy, recently announced its Series C3 round of financing with tens of millions of yuan, and the investors are undisclosed. According to Acadsoc, the capital will be used for recruiting more foreign teachers, teaching content research and development, as well as the online market expansion.

Founded in 2011, Acadsoc initially provided students who are going to study abroad with 1-on-1 English tutoring classes. The company is now offering 1-on-1 English learning courses taught by foreign teachers, study abroad consultancy, and on-demand video learning services. 

Acadsoc has established offices in many cities including London, New York, Philippines, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, etc. As of August last year, the company has over 10,000 full-time foreign teachers, of which more than 50% are from the Philippines.

This May, Acadsoc launched curriculum catering to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and the curriculum has been certified by Ascentis, an award-winning provider of cutting-edge qualifications for education, training, and business in the UK and overseas.
