Kid Programming Education Start-up Codemao Lands RMB1.3 Billion Series D Funding Round

Kid programming education provider Codemao today announces an RMB1.3 billion Series D funding round, which is the largest funding round in China’s kid programming education market. This round is led by Barings’ fund, the original shareholders including Hillhouse Capital, CMB International, Bohai Zhongsheng, Yueke Xintai participated, and here also comes several new investors like CITIC Securities, Goldstone Investment, Youshan Capital, Wens Investment, Greater Bay Area Fund, and BOC International.

As the COVID-19 pandemic accelerates the development of online education, Codemao’s monthly revenue has exceeded 200 million yuan currently, and the users in third- and fourth-tier cities account for nearly 50%.

Founded in 2015, Codemao focuses on offering a programming tool matrix to children from 4 to 16-year-old, covering many mainstream programming languages multiple usage scenarios such as PC and mobile terminals.
