Online learning platform Udemy announced $50 million Series F funding round from investors including Learn Capital, an US-based venture capital firm focused on global edtech.

As Bloomberg reported Tencent is a lead investor in the round, according to people familiar with the matter. Udemy didn’t comment on it.

The company, which has offices in Denver, Brazil, India, Ireland and Turkey as well as California, will use the capital to expand into new markets, and grow consumer and business product offerings.

Founded in 2009, Udemy is an online learning platform featuring 130,000 video courses taught by 57,000 instructors, covering courses from programming languages like Python and Java to personal development classes like design, drawing, writing and yoga.

Earlier this year, Udemy raised $50 million from Benesse at a valuation of $2 billion. The number rose to more than $3 billion prior to the latest investment.
