Online Classroom ClassIn Raises $265 Million in Series C Round for Advancing OMO Strategy

On November 27th, educational SaaS provider EEO(Empower Education Online), the owner of online classroom classIn, announced its $265 million Series C round of financing led by an investment agency established by Hillhouse Capital that focuses on investing in early-stage start-up companies. Tencent, SIG, INCE capital, and Gaocheng Capital also participated in this deal.

According to the company, the latest fund will continue to be used for research and development of the underlying education technology, advancing the OMO strategy, and promoting the education informatization.

This is the second round of financing completed by EEO within 5 months. In July 2020, EEO secured tens of millions of dollars in its Series B funding round which was exclusively invested by INCE capital.
