Founded in 2019, just a few months before the pandemic, uLesson is trying to bridge educational gaps for K-7 to K-12 students across Africa by delivering affordable, high-quality, and accessible education using technology.

It has built the technology to deploy curriculum-relevant content via smartphones, allowing learners to use the product without concern for internet limitations and costs. Its content is delivered via streaming and SD cards.

According to the company, the fresh cash injection will help it expand across Eastern and Southern Africa, as well as secure new talent, and build product development and production infrastructure.
