MENA EdTech platform Emonovo raises bridge investment round from strategic angel investors and Flat6Labs

Cairo-based Emonovo (formerly MARJ3) announced recently that it has successfully raised an undisclosed bridge round by strategic angel investors from US, Europe, and MENA and follow-on investment from Flat6Labs.

According to the company, the latest fund will be used to boost its new brand strategy and update the technology to optimize the matching and data management.

Currently, Emonovo help student to find the right major and school suitable for their skills, and determine the most appropriate country and university for this specialization and the possible budget for studying. The platform also assist student to prepare all documents in addition to applying to universities and obtaining admission, moreover, to stay in touch throughout students’ study period for any needed support or assistance.

Founded in July 2016, the company provides comprehensive database containing educational opportunities worldwide for Arab youth in a simplified way, it utilizes technology and data to match MENA youth to the best-fit majors and universities.

In 2017, within , the platform secured pre-seed funding from Flat6Labs’ FAC Egypt Fund, enabling them to grow and reach a far larger segment of the target audience, achieving more than two million monthly visitors on Marj3’s website.

In 2020, the company obtained a new investment round from Expert Dojo and launched Marj3 education services to help students in the Arab region. After a short period, Marj3 managed to secure partnerships with more than 300 universities globally.

In 2022, the company shifted from scholarships to university and student matching arena. In March 2022, Marj3 became Emonovo after a series of both internal and external adjustments.
