According to 36kr, AI children’s English education platform DingDong Class has raised tens of millions of dollars in Series B round led by Cathay Capital, with original shareholders K2VC, China Creation Ventures and Xiang He Capital also participating. The fund will be used for technical optimization, scenario-based teaching development and brand building.
Focusing on promoting universal-benefit English classes for children from 5 to 10-year-old, the start-up now has formed a foreign teacher pool in the United States and Canada with 1-on-2 small-size class teaching mode. By leveraging its cutting-edge of AI technology, DingDong Class allows students to interact with peers and teachers through the touch screen, plus, the product has an intelligent system for class matching and learning report generating, together with 1-on-1 personalized tutoring.
To combat the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, DingDong Class announced on January 29th to provide one free course per day for students in Hubei Province and become the e-learning platform approved by the Education Department of Hubei Province during the epidemic.
