Skillshare, a New York-based online learning community, has recently announced a Series D funding round of $66 million led by OMERS Growth Equity.

Previous investors, including Union Square Ventures, Amasia, Burda Principal Investments, and Spero Ventures, also participated. The company has raised more than $100 million to date.

Founded in 2010, Skillshare offers more than 30,000 courses ranging from graphic design to photography to painting and illustration to interior design. Its platform currently has more than 12 million registered members and 8,000 teachers.

The funding will primarily be used to create a localized experience for international students, while continuing to expand domestically and grow Skillshare's enterprise offering, Skillshare for Teams. Skillshare will also invest in tools that increase engagement between students and teachers.
