ByteDance Launches New Segment Dali Education, Making Vigorous Efforts to Shape Learners

ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, today announces a new brand named Dali Education(大力教育), reorganizing all its educational businesses and products which are previously scattered in different segments. In Chinese, Dali can be understood as making vigorous efforts. According to Chen Lin, the person in charge of Dali Education, the new sub-brand will dig into the education market to serve all the educational scenarios and empower all participants in the education ecosystem.

Zhang Yiming, the founder and CEO claimed: “it’s just the beginning for ByteDance to form an independent education brand, we will keep patient and put education as an important part of our business map.”

ByteDance started to keep eyes on education in 2016 and products targeting all the education stages have been subsequently launched since 2018. And in his letter to employees released at ByteDance’s eighth anniversary of the establishment on March 12th, Zhang Yiming said that he would focus on global expansion and new initiatives such as education.

As of now, ByteDance’s education practice has provided multiple groups like Pre-K, K-12, and adult with courses, software, and hardware, etc. In the future, Dali Education aims to provide learners with an integrated learning system, plus, improve students’ learning abilities, creativity, and personal development skills.
