GoStudent picks up €70M Series B to further expand online tutoring markets across Europe

gostudent官网.pngGoStudent, the Vienna, Austria-based edtech startup, has raised €70 million in its Series B round of funding led by new investor Coatue Management. Existing investors including Left Lane Capital and DN Capital also participated in the round. The latest round brings its total fundraising to €86 million, including €13.3 million received in 2020 alone.

Founded in 2016, GoStudent creates a digital learning platform to provide virtual one-on-one tutoring and teaching services covering all school subjects.

The capital will be used to promote its internationalisation and expand its presence in major tutoring markets such as France, Spain, Italy, the Great Britain, and Ireland. It will start to launch and in Turkey and Greece in the first half of 2021 among other countries.

Besides, GoStudent will also invest in branding and product improvement. The company aims to be present in at least 15 European countries by the end of this year, and expand the team to over 800 employees and more than 10,000 tutors.
