Outschool announced Thursday that it raises a $110 million Series D with a $3 billion valuation. The round comes less than a year after a $75 million Series C raise in April 2021.

The latest round of funding is led by previous investor Tiger Global Management and new investor BOND. Additional participants in the round include Lightspeed Ventures, Union Square Ventures, Reach Capital, Coatue, FundersClub and SV Angel.

Founded in 2015, Outschool is an online marketplace of classes that connect teachers and learners over real-time video in small groups. Outschool’s offerings include a wide variety of classes like cooking, games, piano performance, and language lessons.

Classes on the platform range from one-time classes, to ongoing social groups, one-on-one tutoring, week-long camps, and ongoing courses.

The freshly secured capital will be used to fuel Outschool's global expansion and ramp up new product offerings for schools and parents seeking alternatives to engage their children.
